BARC Account FAQ's
UCSB Students can now charge any Apple purchase in the Bookstore to their BARC account granted that the account is in good-standing and does not have any financial blocks. BARC charges for these transactions will be billed in full at the beginning of the month following the purchase. The full purchase price will be removed from your BARC account at that time. Any questions or concerns regarding BARC Billing should be directed via email to barc.info@bfs.ucsb.edu or by phone at (805) 893-3756.

FAQ's
What can I charge to my account in the Bookstore?
At this time, the Bookstore is only authorized to charge Apple product to a student’s BARC account.

When will my BARC account be charged?
Your account will be charged in full at the beginning of the month following the purchase. For example, if a purchase was made on February 24th your account will be charged on March 1st.

Will the Bookstore establish a payment plan for me?
The Bookstore is not responsible for initiating a payment plan with the BARC Billing Office. Students are allowed to use their BARC account for their Apple purchase as a form of payment; it is not a payment plan.

Who should I contact with questions about my BARC account?
Any questions regarding your BARC billing should be directed via email to barc.info@bfs.ucsb.edu or by phone at (805) 893-3756.

Is this the same as the one-time Computer Loan available for UCSB students?
No. The one-time Computer Loan is administered through Financial Aid. Any inquiries regarding this program should be directed to http://www.finaid.ucsb.edu.
